Our Division Through the design, data acquisition and interpretation of scientific experiments across the full spectrum of R&D, Drug Development Sciences (DDS) creates value and minimizes risk for GSK. We work with discovery scientists to quantify and streamline the search for new compounds, and support them through pre-clinical development. Collaborating with clinical colleagues for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, we also design and analyze clinical trials and epidemiological studies. We structure, data manage, report, analyze, package for regulatory submission, and preserve clinical trial data for future exploration and reuse. DDS statisticians draw conclusions about the safety and efficacy of clinical trials necessary in gaining approval for marketing compounds. We continually look for new and better ways to make decisions from data by developing and applying epidemiological and statistical methods and leveraging the power of computers. And we do it all with a focus on information, innovation and scientific inference across all of R&D.
